Child Therapy

Let’s Support Your Child Together

At Morgan Haigh Therapy, I specialize in working with children ages 3–12, helping them navigate the challenges of childhood in a way that feels natural and supportive.

If your child has become more withdrawn, irritable, or frequently sad; avoids social situations; or has trouble managing big emotions like fear, worry, or frustration, I’m here to help.

Signs Your Child May Benefit from Therapy

Your child might need additional support if you’ve noticed:

  • Frequent Mood Changes: Irritability, sadness, or heightened worry.

  • Behavioral Challenges: Trouble managing frustration, frequent meltdowns, or acting out.

  • Social Withdrawal: Avoiding friends, family, or group activities.

  • Difficult Transitions: Struggles adjusting to a move, a new sibling, or a change in routine.

  • Physical Symptoms of Stress: Headaches, stomachaches, or trouble sleeping.

Therapy can help your child feel more confident, secure, and supported.

Parent Involvement is Key

As a parent, you play a crucial role in your child’s growth and healing since— you are the expert of your child. I collaborate closely with families to ensure that the therapeutic work extends beyond the playroom. I offer parent sessions where I may provide updates, share insights, and offer practical tools to help you further support your child at home. I also offer family collaboration, where together we’ll create a plan to foster lasting change in your child’s emotional well-being and your family’s dynamic.

This partnership ensures that the progress your child makes in therapy can flourish in their everyday life.

How Play Therapy Helps Children

Children don’t often communicate their struggles with words—they use play. Play therapy provides a safe, nurturing space where children can express their feelings, process experiences, and explore solutions to the challenges they’re facing.

Through sand play, art therapy, storytelling, and imaginative play, children can communicate feelings they may not have the words to describe, process anxiety, sadness, anger, or stress in a healthy way, build problem-solving skills and resilience, and develop a stronger sense of self and emotional regulation.

In play therapy, toys and creative activities become the tools of healing. This approach allows children to work through their struggles in a way that feels natural and engaging to them.

A Safe, Creative Space for Your Child

My therapy space is designed to be warm and welcoming—a place where kids can feel free to be themselves. Play therapy allows children to explore their emotions without fear of judgment. Whether your child is facing anxiety, sadness, emotional outbursts, or difficulty navigating life’s transitions, I’m here to help them process those feelings and build skills to thrive.
